Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Home Support Worker to provide full‑time care and assistance to an individual in a private household. The role requires professionalism, compassion, and the ability to work independently in a rural home environment. Room and board are available at no cost to the employee.

Language: English

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of related experience

Responsibilities

  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Administer medications as directed
  • Assist with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • Support regular exercise such as walking
  • Collect specimens when required
  • Feed or assist with feeding
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Plan and prepare therapeutic diets and menus
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Provide personal care and daily living assistance
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Cook meals according to dietary needs

Transportation / Travel Requirements

  • Valid driver's licence required
  • Rural location; transportation may be necessary for errands and appointments
