About the Role

We're looking for aPlanner - Dispatcher who can see three moves ahead, keep drivers productive, and keep customers happy—at the same time. This role supports flatbed and bulk operations, so if you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and controlled chaos, you'll feel right at home.

You'll be responsible for daily dispatch, load planning, and real-time execution, balancing service, safety, and efficiency. This is not a "just answer the phone" job.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Plan and dispatch flatbed and bulk loads across Ontario and cross-border lanes
  • Build efficient daily and weekly plans for drivers and Owner Operators
  • Monitor Hours of Service (HOS), appointments, and route constraints
  • Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal teams
  • Proactively manage delays, weather, breakdowns, and last-minute changes
  • Ensure compliance with MTO, FMCSA, and company policies
  • Track loads, update systems, and maintain accurate dispatch records
  • Support drivers professionally while holding the line on expectations

What We're Looking For

  • Experience dispatching flatbed and/or bulk trucking (strongly preferred)
  • Solid understanding of HOS rules, border processes, and load planning
  • Calm under pressure and able to make decisions quickly
  • Strong communication skills—clear, direct, and respectful
  • Comfortable using TMS, ELD, and standard office software
  • Organized, accountable, and not afraid to own the outcome
  • Trucking common sense (you can't Google this)

Required Experience (Must Have)

  • Demonstrated dispatch experience in trucking
  • Experience dispatching steel, lumber, and/or bulk grain
  • Solid, working knowledge of Hours of Service
  • Ability to make calm decisions when plans fall apart (because they will)

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Education:
