Duties
- As a Senior Glazier with Rogue Glass you will complete repairs and installations at different jobsites throughout the lower mainland on a daily basis.
- You will have a wide knowledge base of the different glazing systems in the lower mainland and how to repair them, including sealed unit replacements, window hardware repairs, glass cutting, storefront repairs and all glass door repairs.
- Operate equipment safely. i.e. safety glasses when projectiles are possible, gloves when handling glass, etc...
- Follow safety protocols while on work sites.
- Handle glass, windows and doors safely and with care being conscious of the surrounding area.
- Stay present in the work at hand, find solutions to complete projects and provide leadership and guidance to Apprentice(s). Above all, keeping the Apprentice(s) safe as they are less experienced.
- You will come to our shop, load up the materials for the day and head out with your apprentice and travel all throughout the lower mainland do different glazing repairs and installation and will return to the shop at the end of each day.
- The candidate that is hired will be personable and collaborative, working well with our existing team and our clients.
- Senior Glaziers will have their own tools and will be provided a glass truck and company phone for work use. The truck will be taken home at the end of each shift and brought back to the shop at the beginning of the next shift.
Experience
- Every senior glazier's experience is different. How much you know will be determined buy how much you chose to learn. A definitive period of time may or may not qualify you. The more time in the service glazing industry the better. During the interview process you will be asked question to determine your experience level and also asked to measure and cut glass.
- Strength is important. You will be asked to lift heavy objects (up to pounds) in some instances.
- Our ideal candidate will be able to articulate experiences they have had in the past where they were able to use a high level of solution seeking to complete projects and overcome difficult circumstances. You will be asked these type of questions in the interview.

- We currently do not offer or required after hours on call services however that may change in the future.
- Some overtime is required depending on the projects each day and how they unfold.
- Some scheduled after hours work is done at the company and it is on a voluntary basis.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $34.00-$48.00 per hour
