Product Manager - Technical II

Overview
The Business Rules Engineering & Strategy team is looking for a Project Manager - Technical to drive forth our mission of building robust IBM ODM Rule solutions that provide transaction level decisioning, alerting and notifications. Business Rules embed intelligence into the transactional cycle by leveraging scoring models, cohesive rule strategies and behavioral data, and when combined with our agile rule development & deployment capabilities, results in a competitive advantage for all stakeholders, in the entire payment ecosystem.

Role

  • Liaise between the business and Rule Development Teams, eliciting and translating external and internal customer needs into Development objectives, identifying possible solutions, and defining project requirements
  • Possess a deep knowledge of how technology addresses, customer needs, products and services. Build close partnerships with technology teams to ensure that business and functional requirements are aligned appropriately with MasterCard Technologies.
  • Will have strong working knowledge of MasterCard applications, systems and transaction decisioning platforms.
  • Meets with business leaders to discuss and elicit under-the-surface needs and translate them into specific business/project objectives.
  • Recognizes and escalates trends in key business problems in association with internal customers and contributes ideas for improvement.
  • Lead the development of conceptual designs, identify and prioritize cross application/system enhancements.
  • Advise and Assist with internal program processes for intake, delivery, and KPI reporting
  • Applies advanced knowledge and extended expertise of principles, theories and concepts, plus advanced knowledge of business or function.
  • Relevant experience in requirements gathering and relationship building with business partners

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of software methodologies (i.e. functionality & limitations)
  • Requires little supervision
  • Developed leadership skills
  • High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills.
  • Ability to train/guide more junior resources.
