Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Technician (310 T) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diesel repair and maintenance, with experience in various types of machinery and equipment. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in all repairs.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment ( Freightliner & Volvos mainly)
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively as needed for repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repair needs and recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in the assembly of components as required for various projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel repair, maintenance, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for various tasks.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics and technical documents.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
