Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining effective communication with drivers, clients and other stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring that freight is efficiently routed and delivered on time.
  • Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor delivery schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support as needed.
  • Analyze shipping and receiving data to optimize routes and improve service efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including shipment details and driver logs.
  • Collaborate with 3PL providers to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Uphold excellent phone etiquette when interacting with clients and partners, ensuring a high level of customer service.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in dispatch or logistics role is preferred, particularly within the supply chain or freight industry.
  • Familiarity with phone systems and effective communication techniques is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes as well as transportation management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
