Key Responsibilities

  • Lead
    wayside installation design
    and ensure compliance with contract requirements, system specifications, and local electrical regulations.
  • Develop and review
    cable routing designs
    within technical rooms and along the track system, optimizing filling ratios and proposing new routing solutions when needed.
  • Integrate CBTC (Communication-Based Train Control) systems
    to create installation designs that are practical and construction-ready.
  • Act as a key liaison between the
    site teams and engineering department
    , ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Identify technical challenges, interface conflicts, and propose
    effective mitigation strategies
    .
  • Represent the installation engineering team in
    client meetings and design reviews
    , providing clear technical justifications and updates.
  • Utilize
    Bluebeam
    and
    AutoCAD
    for design documentation, interface management, and review workflows.
  • Support the
    management of subcontractor design activities
    , ensuring quality and adherence to engineering processes and timelines.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience
    in
    railway installation design or construction engineering
    , ideally in signaling or system integration projects.
  • Proven background in
    brownfield rail environments
    (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of
    pathway sizing, cable management, and raceway design
    .
  • Hands-on field survey experience for installation design validation.
  • Familiarity with
    Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
    and
    Interface Registers
    .
  • Experience coordinating with
    contractors and subcontractors
    on design deliverables.
  • Ability to manage
    multiple priorities
    , meet deadlines, and deliver under pressure.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
