Duties

  • Safely operate Class 1 Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) to transport goods across designated routes
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
  • Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety standards and weight limits
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests and delivery logs
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding schedules, delays, or issues
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transit
  • Assist with routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience operating Light Commercial Vehicles in a commercial setting
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and transportation laws
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical capability to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
