Join our Environmental team in Edmonton, Alberta, where you'll contribute to meaningful work supporting environmental monitoring, assessment, remediation and reclamation projects across Western Canada. This role is ideal for early‑career professionals excited by field work, data collection, and hands‑on learning in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Your Impact
In this role, you will:
- Assist with delivering Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, as well as remediation and groundwater monitoring programs.
- Conduct field assignments independently or as part of a team, ensuring accurate sampling, documentation, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with project managers, scientists, contractors, and field personnel to execute environmental tasks safely and efficiently.
- Collect, record, and manage field data following industry standards and WSP protocols.
- Communicate with clients, laboratories, government partners, and service providers regarding project logistics and findings.
- Contribute to clear, well‑structured technical reports that support client and regulatory decisions.
- Champion safe work practices by implementing WSP and client safety expectations in all field and office activities.
- Support additional environmental tasks as needed to advance project objectives.
The Skills That Set You Apart
You're someone who brings:
- A university degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with remediation or reclamation in the upstream oil and gas industry (an asset).
- Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental guidelines and directives.
- Strong soil characterization and vegetation identification abilities.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in dynamic field environments.
- A valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Physical ability to meet the demands of fieldwork and willingness to travel as project work requires.

Compensation
Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $48,700 – $65,500
MB & ON: $44,500 – $62,100
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $44,000 – $59,300
