Role Description

This is a full-time in office role for an Electrical Designer located in Edmonton, AB. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for creating and reviewing electrical designs, preparing electrical drawings and specifications, and collaborating with other engineering disciplines. Day-to-day tasks include designing power distribution systems, developing electrical schematics, and ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and codes. The role also involves supporting project teams, conducting site visits, and providing technical support during project implementation.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Electrical Design and Drafting
  • Ability to prepare electrical calculations
  • Knowledge of Low and Medium Voltage Power Distribution Systems
  • Experience working with relevant codes and standards
  • Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Working knowledge of drafting software is essential
