Summary

We are seeking a Guest Service Agent to join our team at Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring their stay is enjoyable and memorable. Your contributions will be vital in upholding our reputation for outstanding customer service. This can lead to full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests upon arrival and provide them with information about the hotel and local attractions.
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions.
  • Handle phone, email and online reservations and inquires.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel including room location, features and rates.
  • Provide accurate information to ensure room sales and maximum hotel revenue.
  • Interact effectively with guests and staff to create a positive hotel experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in guest services or hospitality preferred
  • Passionate about customer services and have a friendly personality and excellent personal presentation
  • Have an excellent eye for detail and work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods up to 8 hours without assistance
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada and be bondable
  • Must be comfortable with modern office software
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
