Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various products and structures. This role requires a strong understanding of safety procedures, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The Painter will play a vital part in maintaining the aesthetic and protective qualities of our products, contributing to efficient manufacturing processes.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper adhesion of paint or coatings
  • Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other methods
  • Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts as needed for material handling and positioning
  • Use hand tools and power tools to perform surface repairs and finishing tasks
  • Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of chemicals
  • Assist with assembly and machining tasks when required to support production workflows
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality standards are met and finishes are uniform
  • Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and cleaning tools after use

Skills

  • Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes and equipment operation
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, and basic machining techniques
  • Experience with crane operation and forklift handling is a plus
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations
  • Knowledge of assembly processes within a manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with safety standards related to painting, machining, welding, and equipment operation
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
