AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

Job Description:

• Edit fifteen oral history transcripts generated using MS Word's transcription feature (substantial revision, correction, and clarification required).
• Ensure each interview is fully transcribed and available in both English and French.
• Review and correct transcription errors, improve clarity, and ensure consistency across all transcripts.
• Prepare the final bilingual transcripts for publication and integration into the ARCS online database alongside the original audio recordings.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a uOttawa graduate or advanced undergraduate program (open field).
• Fluently bilingual in French and English; written, spoken, and oral comprehension required.
• Experience with audio, translation, and transcription tools (i.e., MS Word, NVivo, DeepL, Audacity).
• Ability to work quickly and follow instructions
• Experience with transcription / editing strongly preferred. 
• Research experience / experience with oral histories strongly preferred. 
• Interest in archives and women's history an asset.
