Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, engaging with customers and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position requires strong time management skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering excellent service.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks following company recipes and standards
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate cash handling and transactions
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring cleanliness
  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment sanitation and food safety compliance
  • Manage cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions
  • Assist in serving food and beverages efficiently during busy periods
  • Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure quality and safety of products served

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
  • Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure prompt service
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards is beneficial
