We are looking for a Yard Team Lead to join our team in Sault St. Marie, Ontario You will play a crucial role in maintaining productivity while fostering a safe and organized work environment.
What you're responsible for:
- Organizing and coordinating daily yard activities to ensure efficiency
- Assigning tasks to yard employees and monitoring workflow to meet daily operational goals
- Providing hands on support and guidance to team members
- Ensuring materials are sorted, processed and handled properly
- Motivating and encouraging employees to maintain productivity
- Communicating expectations and ensuring tasks are carried out accordingly
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and identifying opportunities for improvement
To join our team:
- You have a minimum 2 years experience as a Team Lead
- You have previous experience in a recycling, industrial, construction or manufacturing environment
- You have previous experience with heavy equipment (forklift, loader, etc) is an asset
- You have strong leadership and problem solving skills, and the ability to make quick decisions
- You have hands-on experience with yard equipment, material handing, or heavy machinery
- You are comfortable working in a physically demanding and fact-paced environment
- You are comfortable working outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions
