Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position located in Burlington, ON for a Grocery Department Manager. In this role, the Grocery Department Manager will oversee the daily operations of the grocery department, ensuring quality control, inventory accuracy, and product availability. Responsibilities include supervising and guiding the team, delivering excellent customer service, managing stock levels, and developing strategies to meet sales goals, working rotationally as the Manager on Duty. The role also involves working closely with suppliers and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in Supermarkets or retail environments, with a focus on grocery management or related areas.
  • Proven expertise in Sales and Inventory Control, ensuring stock accuracy and efficient operations.
  • Leadership and organizational skills to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of natural and organic products is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes efficiently.
  • Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role in retail is preferred.
  • Ability to work on your feet as well as lift up to 40lbs
  • Flexible schedule to work opening, closing and weekend shifts.

Salary Range: $50,000-$62,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications
