What You'll Do

We are looking for a Team Lead, Production to join our Plant Operations team. In this role, you will guide and support production line employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. You'll oversee day-to-day production activities, monitor output, and keep work on track with schedules and company standards.

As a hands-on leader, you will coach and mentor team members, encourage teamwork, and help maintain a positive, safe, and productive workplace. The ideal candidate brings experience in food processing, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Work Location: On-Site - 40 Centennial Rd, Orangeville, ON L9W 3T3

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily production activities, ensuring output meets company standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Track and report production progress, resolving issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Create and adjust schedules, assigning tasks to optimize team productivity and workflow.
• Coach and support team members through on-the-job training, constructive feedback, and recognition.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment by modeling teamwork, safety, and professionalism.
• Ensure all policies, procedures, and food safety regulations (including GMPs) are consistently followed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area.
• Operate and monitor equipment within specifications, promptly reporting issues to the Maintenance Team.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as needed to support the success of the plant.

Responsibilities include other duties assigned by Production & Plant Management.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment; leadership experience an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Flexible and dependable — available for day and night shifts, weekends, and overtime.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.; able to work in hot, cold, or wet conditions.
• Dedicated to safety, company policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
