We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our Procurement team. As the Purchaser, you will be a key member of the Procurement team responsible supplier management including relationship management, quoting, complete procurement lifecycle, and material expediting. You'll have exceptional organizational and time management skills to ensure both company and customer requirements are met in the most professional and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Supplier relationship management, quoting, system setup, PO issuance, order monitoring and communications, and issue resolution. 
  • Material Expediting: Work with project teams to expedite materials and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor communications.
  • Communication: Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any issues related to procurement and delivery.
  • Support: Assist the Procurement team with various administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or relevant career experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years working in supply chain (logistics), specifically sourcing suppliers and materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee a high volume of suppliers and purchasing requests.
  • Demonstrated financial, procurement, and business acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and reporting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Security Requirements

All candidates must be eligible for and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Reliability Security clearances.
