Article Student

The article student will represent family law clients in matters such as child custody, divorce, support, property division, family violence, and others. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting pleadings, advising clients and representing their interests, whether in negotiation, mediation or at a hearing.
Candidates must be motivated and capable of self-direction. Atticus Legal is results-based: article students are expected to meet a minimum billing target per month. The firm will provide article students with enough work to meet the minimum billing target.
Compensation to be discussed during interview.
Article students will primarily work on Legal Aid files provided by the firm.
The office culture is relaxed with respect to in-office attire and schedule as long as the article students maintains professionalism in the discharge of his or her duty to the client. The firm promotes a good work-life balance, teamwork and camaraderie among associates and staff.
