Production Lead - Fresh Produce

Position Details
  • Position: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Salary: From $22/hour + Quarterly Performance Bonus
  • Work Schedule: 7:00 am - 4:30/5:30 pm, Sunday to Friday (one day off during the week; off every Saturday)

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead departments within the production lines to complete daily tasks.
  • Provide robust training and coaching for new and existing team members.
  • Monitor, maintain, and ensure the proper function of equipment, including the vertical form filler machine .
  • Ensure all SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are strictly followed throughout the entire plant.
  • Complete all necessary shift documentation and quality checks.
  • Communicate with Management regarding equipment and sanitation status.
  • Assist employees on a hands-on basis as needed to increase overall yield.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety Policies are adhered to.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
  • Fresh Produce Expertise (MANDATORY): Minimum 2+ years of recent experience in a Fresh Produce or fresh-cut food processing facility.
  • Machine & Cutting Knowledge (MANDATORY): Practical knowledge of cutting, slicing, and dicing fruits and vegetables, and proven experience operating production machinery (e.g., slicers, dicers).
  • VFFS Experience (PREFERRED): Experience monitoring or operating Vertical Form Filler (VFFS) equipment.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 1 year of Supervisor or Lead Hand experience.
  • Environment: Ability to work efficiently in a refrigerated environment (cold).
  • Schedule: MANDATORY Sunday availability and ability to work flexible hours based on production volume.
  • Secondary school graduation diploma or equivalent.
