North Vancouver BC VL A, Canada LifeSpace Gardens Full time $40,000 - $50,000 per year

About LifeSpace Gardens

At LifeSpace Gardens, we make it easy and inspiring for people to grow their own food — beautifully and sustainably. Our handcrafted self-watering gardens are designed and built right here in our North Vancouver shop, and ship out across North America.

About the Role

We're looking for a Shop Worker who thrives on organization, attention to detail, and keeping things moving. This role is all about shipping, receiving, packaging, and order fulfillment — making sure every customer order goes out on time, looking great, and packed with care. You'll also be responsible for shop inventory and standard manufacturing tasks.

If you're someone who loves a busy, active workday, enjoys woodwork and takes pride in getting things right, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fulfill customer orders with precision — from picking and packing to labelling and shipping.

  • Coordinate shipping and logistics for local and national deliveries. Prepare shipping documentation, palletizing larger orders, scheduleing courier pick ups, and managing customer pick ups.

  • Use internal work management platform to provide clear, consistent, and timely communication to LifeSpace sales reps regarding order fulfilment details such as order dispatch dates, confirmed courier pickups, and tracking numbers.

  • Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and quality, and update inventory.

  • Maintain organized storage and inventory systems for materials and finished good. Ensure internal inventory database is up to date and accurate.

  • Plan for material demand by ensuring inventory is ordered in advance based on lead times and forecasted production cycles.

  • Keep the shipping and packaging area clean, efficient, and well-stocked.

  • Assist with basic manufacturing of stock components as well as assembly tasks when required.

  • Communicate with the team to ensure smooth production and fulfillment flow.

Qualifications

  • Experience in shipping, receiving, or order fulfillment (e-commerce or manufacturing environment preferred)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable lifting and moving materials (up to 50 lbs)

  • Basic computer literacy (shipping labels, inventory tracking, etc.)

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced shop

  • Bonus: Familiarity with Shopify, Freightcom, or other order management software

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Be part of a local company with a mission — helping people grow their own food

  • Hands-on, satisfying work with tangible results

  • A collaborative, down-to-earth team that values craftsmanship and sustainability

  • Opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic small business
