The Role

The ABC is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to lead the development and implementation of high-quality, strategic communications that align with the ABC's strategy and objective.

The Job

• Develop and deliver internal communications strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Advise senior leaders on effective messaging, risks, and engagement opportunities.
• Lead internal communications for key areas including People & Culture and organisational change.
• Oversee internal messaging across all divisions to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
• Manage major campaigns, initiatives, and sensitive projects that impact culture and staff engagement.
• Provide guidance and solutions during change and sensitive issues to maintain trust.
• Foster strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and represent the Communications team in committees.
• Lead and support the Communications team, promoting collaboration, high performance, and organisational values.

About You

You have strong leadership and negotiation abilities to guide and influence others and a proven track record in delivering change initiatives.

You'll also have:

• Tertiary qualifications and extensive senior experience in communications, issues, and stakeholder management.
• Strong writing, communications planning, and preparation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; effective under pressure in complex environments.
• Skilled in research, analysis, problem-solving, and providing solutions.
• Experience managing budgets and resources and working with sensitive, confidential information in executive offices.
• Committed to building inclusive, diverse workplace cultures.
