Job Description

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business analysis within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of transaction banking products, services, and operational processes.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is desired
    , with demonstrated experience applying process improvement methodologies in banking operations.
  • Working knowledge of automation products
    like Pega, Appian, etc. is desired
    , with firsthand experience in process modeling with BPMN standards.

Preferred:

  • Partner with stakeholders across retail, commercial, and digital banking to gather and document business requirements.
  • Analyze existing workflows, systems, and data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and process maps.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Document User Stories and work with Product Owners for prioritization.
  • Support project delivery through requirement validation, stakeholder communication, and UAT coordination.
  • Ensure solutions comply with banking regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, OSFI guidelines).
  • Contribute to change management and training efforts during solution rollouts.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with Agile. Safe and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) is an asset.
