Our client, an innovative leader in glazing and cladding wall systems, is currently seeking a
Structural Engineer
to join their team immediately on a permanent full-time basis.

You will be joining a growing team with more than 30 years of excellence and innovation in building techniques to help with delivering their unique wall systems. This position will be working 100% out of their office in Mississauga, Ontario.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed structural designs specifically for prefabricated exterior wall systems used in commercial, institutional, and residential buildings
  • Assist in the development of preliminary structural concepts for unitized wall panels in coordination with architectural and design teams
  • Support the project team through all phases — from early design development to fabrication and installation — ensuring structural performance and compliance
  • Review internal and external shop drawings for prefabricated wall systems, verifying alignment with construction documents, building codes, and engineering standards
  • Perform structural estimating and take-off tasks related to wall panel components with a high level of precision and autonomy
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, consultants, and fabricators to resolve technical issues and ensure constructability throughout the design and production process
  • Building relationships of trust with clients and other outside agencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, with focus on Structural Engineering
  • Currently licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario
  • (stamping drawings will be required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in structural engineering, specifically related to industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) building design
  • Proficient in the application of Canadian building codes and standards
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit for structural design and documentation
  • Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge of cold-formed steel design
  • Familiarity with mass timber design is considered an asset
  • Interest or experience in embodied carbon analysis is considered an asset
  • Organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (both oral and written) skills
