Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Boutique Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily operations of our boutique store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management expertise, and excellent customer service abilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant retail environment, develop team members, and drive sales growth through effective merchandising, marketing, and operational strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers
- Manage inventory purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising to optimize sales and product presentation
- Oversee payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping activities with accuracy and compliance
- Recruit, train, and develop staff members to enhance team performance and customer service standards
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and increase store visibility
- Utilize POS systems effectively for sales transactions and inventory management
- Develop and manage budgets to meet financial goals while controlling costs
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and foster a positive team environment
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with vendors for purchasing and ensure timely stock replenishment
- Maintain organizational standards in store cleanliness, visual presentation, and safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales management with supervising responsibilities in a boutique or similar setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, and store layout planning
- Skilled in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Effective negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing agreements
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff
- Knowledge of marketing techniques to promote the store effectively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Competence in budgeting, sales management, and financial analysis
- Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
