The Team
At the Interior Region Office, Services to Adults team, you'll be joining an established and tight-knit group of over 20 dedicated professionals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable adults across BC. You'll collaborate closely with Financial Analysts, Case Managers, and Regional Consultants in a welcoming environment that values equity, diversity, and inclusion in everything we do.
The Role
In this Administrative Assistant role, you'll play a key part in supporting both the team and the clients by helping respond to day-to-day needs, as outlined in the job profile. Your work will directly impact some of the most vulnerable adults in the Interior Region, helping them navigate legal, financial, and healthcare challenges. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED)
- Experience providing customer or client service, carrying out legal, administrative and/or financial duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner in an office setting.
- Preference may be given to candidates with 1 or more years of experience.
- Experience/training working with Microsoft office products and data entry.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience working directly or in person with vulnerable populations (e.g. vulnerable adults, persons with disabilities, children, heirs and beneficiaries and individuals with language, behavioural and/or cognitive barriers).
- Completed Office Administration courses.
- Applicants who self‐identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit.

About this Position:
2 positions available.
There is one (1) part time (0. 6 FTE) permanent position.
There is one (1) full time temporary opportunity until February 5, 2027. This position may be extended or become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 1 day at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent full time and/or part time vacancies.
Located in the Okanagan Valley, Kelowna is known for its spectacular selection of wineries. On the shores of Okanagan Lake, Kelowna also has easy access to swimming, paddling, windsurfing and fishing. Big White, the ski mountain in Kelowna, provides skiing and snowboarding adventure.
