Reporting to the Designated Pharmacy Manager, the Front Store Assistant will:
· Work closely with the front store and pharmacy team to greet and assist customers in store and over the phone while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
· Accurately complete sales transactions and procedures, facilitate product returns, and assist with expiries and promotions using the point-of-sale.
· Communicate professionally with customers, healthcare providers, and suppliers.
· Order, organize and stock products in pharmacy and front shop.
· Maintain excellent cleanliness and organization of the front store, pharmacy, and stockroom.
· Complete a variety of administrative functions including faxing, filing, printing reports, etc.
· Promote and participate in maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
· Keep up-to-date with product information and promotions.
· Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements.
· Follow all SOPs as they relate to our various services.
· Actively promote services to grow patient base.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
· Previous cash/customer service experience is considered an asset.
· Willingness to work well in a team environment.
· Ability to adapt to changing priorities while working in fast-paced setting.
· Detail oriented and a self-starter.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills required to liaise with customers and other health professionals.
· Great time management and organizational skills.
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
· Flexibility to work shifts between our two St. Thomas pharmacy locations: Health Centre Pharmacy & Elmdale Medical Pharmacy, including evenings and Saturdays.
· Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, occasionally lift or move up to 20lbs, occasionally use a ladder or step stool to retrieve merchandise, stock shelves, lift, bend, and reach throughout the day.
· Manual dexterity to operate POS, computer, phone, and other standard retail equipment.
