Central Machine & Marine Inc. (CMM) is a leading machine and fabrication facility located in Southwestern Ontario, serving the petro-chemical, power generation, marine, and other heavy industries since 1973. Operating in a state-of-the-art 70,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, we handle custom fabrication, tight tolerance machining, field services, and large-scale ship repairs, accommodating projects up to 60 tons. Our team includes certified welders, fitters, fabricators, machinists, and millwrights, along with engineering technologists and trained inspectors. With a two-shift system, we deliver cost and time efficiencies while maintaining stringent quality and safety standards. From initiation to completion, CMM ensures expert handling of all welding and manufacturing needs.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Sarnia, ON, for a Technical Sales Manager. The Technical Sales Manager will oversee all aspects of technical sales, ensuring customer satisfaction and team alignment with organizational goals. Responsibilities include managing accounts, developing client relationships, providing technical support, identifying sales opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver customized solutions. The role also involves preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with production teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

  • Technical Sales and Sales skills to identify opportunities, generate leads, and close deals effectively.
  • Account Management expertise to manage client relationships and ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Technical Support and Customer Service abilities to address client inquiries and provide solutions in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills to ensure seamless coordination between clients and internal teams.
  • Familiarity with industrial manufacturing, fabrication, or the heavy industries sector is an asset.
  • Relevant education or certification in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field is beneficial.
  • Willingness to work on-site and engage in frequent client communication.
