Title: Bookkeeper

Reports to: Vice President, Finance, Sharron Barnier

Based at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, ON

Type of Employment: Full-Time, 6-month contract, 5-days a week; and some additional hours which may include Saturdays, depending on workload and priorities.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Maintains accounts by verifying, allocating and posting transactions
  • Reconciles accounts by verifying entries and totals
  • Reconcile bank balance monthly
  • Prepare accurate monthly and financial statements
  • Post payroll, balance source deductions
  • Process Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Assist with timely completion of month end and year end requirements
  • General administrative tasks

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 3 years of Bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task and to reprioritize tasks on a daily basis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written, oral and spoken) in English.
  • Proven knowledge of Simply Accounting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook

Physical Abilities:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
  • Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
  • Work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F
