You'll Do

  • Work in a safe manner using established SOPs, following all lockouts and protocols, and completing PTHAs.
  • Preventative maintenance and repair of conveyors, various belt and chain transfer and drive systems, sawing, debarking, sorting, stacking, and compressors.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the assembly, installation, set-up and repair of equipment and machinery.
  • Work in man-lifts with the use of fall protection equipment.
  • Repair and maintenance of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves and cylinders.
  • Work positively in a team environment.

You Have

  • Commitment to working safely and creating a safe workplace.
  • Sawmill experience is an asset.
  • A valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright certification or a Millwrighting Apprentice preparing to enroll in their 4th
  • Mechanical aptitude; excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work closely with other trades and employees.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible schedule for workdays, nights, and weekend shifts.

  • The hourly pay range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
