What you'll be doing

We're looking for enthusiastic, organized volunteers to help plan and run events that raise funds and awareness for our mission. This is a great way to gain experience in non-profit event planning, marketing and fundraising while making a real impact for rescue dogs.

What You'll Do:

  • Help plan and organize fundraising events (adoption events, charity walks, online fundraisers, raffles, etc.).
  • Assist or coordinate 1-2 events annually and attend 1-2 events (June–Sept) in the Hamilton/Niagara/GTA area.
  • Support the team with logistics, fundraising, marketing, and volunteer scheduling.
  • Create social media posts and Canva materials.
  • Engage with attendees and donors at events.
  • Help secure sponsorships, grants and/or donations.

What We're Looking For:

  • A passion for animal welfare and love of dogs.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Facebook, Google Sheets, and Canva.
  • Willingness to travel within Hamilton, Niagara, and GTA.
  • Flexible availability (evenings/weekends). There are no set hours, so outside of events, you can assist volunteer when it suits your schedule.
  • Event planning and fundraising experience is a bonus but not required.
