We are looking for a reliable, experienced dog walker to join the team on a casual, part-time basis. The role is ideal for someone with a flexible schedule who is able to be called in when needed for a few hours at a time.

Availability may vary week to week and could include mornings or mid-day walks. Reliability, comfort handling multiple dogs, and genuine love for animals are a must.

Duties

  • Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Maintain communication with pet owners regarding their dog's behaviour and any concerns during walks.
  • Provide fresh water and check on the dogs' overall health during visits.
  • Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain cleanliness in the community.
  • Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding care routines or special needs.
  • Uphold safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both the dogs and yourself during walks.

Experience

  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred, as strong communication skills are vital for interacting with pet owners.
  • A genuine love for animals and experience handling dogs of various temperaments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple dogs at once while maintaining control and ensuring their safety.
  • Familiarity with basic dog behaviour and training techniques is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to walk between 1 and 2 hours daily.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
