Day Camp Associate Coordinator

The Town of Tecumseh is accepting resumes for the following student employment position for the Summer of 2026 in the Community & Recreation Services Department.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor Recreation Programs & Events, Associate Coordinators are responsible for assisting with planning, implementing and monitoring the Summer Day Camp Program for children from ages 5 to 12 years.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • The successful candidate must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution with an interest in recreation or childcare related fields.
  • Candidates must have a minimum two (2) years' experience in children's programs and/or recreation programs.
  • The successful candidate must have Standard First Aid with CPR-C, Automatic External Defibrillator, and HIGH FIVE certification with QUEST 2.
  • Experience working with children or related course in children development, and experience in creative programming will be considered an asset.
  • The preferred candidate will have knowledge of Town of Tecumseh Health and Safety policies and procedures and WHMIS regulations.
