About the Role

Marvel Global Steel is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in structural and custom steel fabrication, with the ability to read and interpret shop and assembly drawings. This position involves performing precise stick welding (SMAW), assembling steel structures, and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform stick welding (SMAW) on a variety of steel components and assemblies
  • Read and interpret shop and assembly drawings accurately
  • Cut, fit, and assemble steel parts according to specifications
  • Fabricate and weld structural components to tight tolerances
  • Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, torches, and cutting machines
  • Inspect welds and assemblies to ensure compliance with CWB standards
  • Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to complete projects on schedule

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of welding and fabrication experience
  • CWB-certified in stick welding (SMAW) — current and valid
  • Ability to read and work from shop and assembly drawings
  • Strong understanding of welding symbols, fit-up, and fabrication processes
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of independent work
  • Committed to workplace safety and quality workmanship

Preferred Assets

  • Experience with structural steel or industrial fabrication projects
  • Familiarity with heavy fabrication and field installation
  • Experience using cutting torches, plasma cutters, and measuring tools

Compensation

Competitive hourly wage based on experience and certification level. Overtime and benefits available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
