FCU Community Financial is looking for a team-oriented individual to assist our members in achieving their financial goals as a permanent, casual Financial Service Representative at our Hornby Island Branch.

Due to its casual nature, this position is ideal for those seeking to gain valuable experience and build their financial literacy while supporting our members and making a difference in their financial journey. Join us and take the first step in your professional growthThis is a casual position supporting coverage at our Hornby Island Branch, requiring availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 
Major Responsibilities: 

Providing an exceptional member experience by proactively engaging with members to understand and meet their immediate day-to-day banking needs by identifying the products and services that will benefit them.
Completing financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, bill payments and/or other account transactions accurately and efficiently.
Transforming the member experience by educating them on our mobile tools and resources.
Assisting other team members and completing other duties as assigned.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability: 

High School Diploma (preference will be given for post-secondary education).
1-3 years experience in customer service (retail, hospitality, and or financial industry). 
Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented focus and the ability to multi-task. 
Knowledge of deposit and lending products and services is preferred.
Effective listening skills.
Successful relationship-building skills.
A positive attitude towards teamwork and cooperation.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
A proven ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with or without a calculator.
Initiative, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential attributes.
