We are looking for a passionate Part-time Food & Beverage Servers to contribute to our restaurant operations, elevate our dining offerings, and deliver outstanding culinary experiences at our Parkway (Markham) location. The Part-time Food & Beverage Server is critical in providing an enjoyable experience to all guests in the Bistro, by interacting with dining guests to suggest items that meet their needs, and providing expert customer service overall. This position will also establish a rapport with each Bistro guest and respond promptly and courteously to any requests or concerns that they may have.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Interact with guests regularly, including providing convenient seating arrangements, taking orders and suggesting menu items that meet their needs
  • Process orders and payments in a timely and professional manner
  • Adhere to all liquor and health laws and regulations
  • Participate in catered events as needed
  • Promote and engage Bistro guests in company promotions
  • Helping kitchen staff as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Provincial Responsible Alcohol Service training is mandatory (SMARTSERVE)
  • Previous experience in a similar environment is an asset, willing to train
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills are a must
  • Demonstrated conflict and stress management skills required
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work days, afternoons, evenings and weekends
