Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry work, including building and restoring structures using bricks, blocks, and other materials. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency in using various hand and power tools. The Brick Mason will play a crucial role in both new construction projects and renovation efforts, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, repair, and restore walls, floors, and other structures using bricks and blocks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
  • Operate heavy equipment as needed for specific tasks related to masonry work.
  • Utilize hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and caulking guns effectively.
  • Ensure the proper mixing of mortar and other materials for optimal durability.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform renovations on existing structures while preserving their integrity.

Experience

  • Proven experience in masonry work or related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with power tools and heavy equipment operation is essential.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately is required.
  • Experience in building new structures as well as restoring or renovating existing ones is a plus.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials regularly.
  • Knowledge of caulking techniques and material properties is beneficial.
