Concrete Scanning/Coring Technician Trainee

About the Role
As one of Xradar's Concrete Scanning/Coring Technician Trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain experience and grow your career in construction. Key Responsibilities
- Utilizing GPR with Xradar's technology to locate and map the position of post-tension cables, rebar, and electrical conduits located in concrete
- Employing drilling techniques to make holes and openings in concrete structures
- Exposure to fieldwork – you'll get to know our city intimately by visiting a wide range of construction projects
- Preparation of job sites and equipment set up, as well as necessary clean-up and maintenance of tools
- Completion of job summary reports for client review
- Assistance and development within concrete engineering surveys
- Interpreting technical marks in concrete slabs to make holes and openings within concrete structures
- Site preparation, maintenance, and clean-up
- Equipment set up and maintenance
- Following all health and safety protocols
On your resume, we will be looking for the following:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a labour or construction role
- Valid class G Drivers' License to use company vehicles as necessary
- Strong computer skills and experience in AutoCAD and GPS is a significant asset
- Experience in geophysical surveys, land surveying, or geomatics is an asset
