*What You'll Do*
The Y-12 Infrastructure Facilities Support Specialist reports directly to the senior leadership of Y-12 Infrastructure Maintenance and performs a wide variety of duties as required for daily operations.

  • Candidate must have an advanced level of knowledge and experience in a wide range of operational and facility requirements and practices.
  • Must be able to resolve matters using the most effective solution in technical and complex issues that impact the organization.
  • Represent the organization on a variety of project and business requirements/needs.
  • Recommends, updates, interprets, and/or implements company and internal policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for determining objectives and approach to completing tasks to ensure short and long term objectives are met.
  • Project scheduling, and statistical reports as required.
  • Manages special projects as directed; researches and writes first draft reports on routine project matters.
  • Reviews status of projects and develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Receives, screens, and redirects incoming communications as appropriate and identifies items requiring priority attention.
  • Recommends policy and procedure changes designed to increase consistency throughout the Maintenance Planning Section.
  • Monitors work control metrics and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Engage with outside organizations to resolve work control issues and improve subject matter input into the Maintenance Planning Process.
  • Interacts with senior management within the organization and external stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Position will also provide office management support, including correspondence, meeting coordination, SAP role management and support for staff tasks throughout the organization.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • OR Master's degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • OR PhD.
  • Ten (10) or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
