Summer Student - Human Resources
The Town of Tillsonburg is looking for a Human Resources
Summer Student who will be responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department with administrative functions.

This is a seasonal student position with an option to enroll in OMERS defined benefit pension plan.Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Manager of Human Resources
Contract: May 4, August 28, 2026 
Hourly Rate: $19.12/hour (2025 rates)
Weekly Hours: 40
Vacancy: 1 (new)Criminal Record Check is required for this position.Interested candidates please apply prior to the end of day on Sunday, January 25th, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Human Resources team with administrative duties (data entry, filing, document scanning)
  • Assist with records management (personnel files, job class files, recruitment files, etc).
  • Assist with the recruitment process (scan and save resumes, help set up interviews)
  • Assist with preparing template documentation (update and edit and create form documents)
  • Research, collect and compile data for various human resources initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects or initiatives as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manger. 
Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in college or university program in Human Resources field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and ability to learn new software.
  • Proven ability to work independently and solve problems creatively.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Able to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Excellent research and editing skills.
  • Customer service experience is an asset
