Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and the safe operation of welding equipment. The Welder will contribute to the production of high-quality products in a fast-paced environment, supporting construction, ductwork, and assembly projects. Looking for someone that lives on Ponoka and area.

Duties

  • Perform MIG and TIG, STICK welding on various metal parts according to schematics and blueprints
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine welding specifications
  • Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other equipment to shape and assemble components
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment safely to move heavy materials and assemblies
  • Conduct machining tasks as needed for precise fitting of parts using calipers and other measurement tools
  • Perform quality inspections on welds and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Assist in assembly processes involving ductwork, structural components, or other fabricated parts
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures

Skills

  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG, STICK welding techniques with experience in manufacturing or construction environments
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, assembly, and fabrication processes
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, calipers, and schematics reading tools
  • Experience with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and basic math for measurements and calculations
  • Knowledge of welding safety standards and practices
  • Familiarity with machining processes and assembly procedures for metal fabrication projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or welding tasks
