We are looking for a creative, dynamic, and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to join our small team. The ideal candidate is proficient in graphic design, content creation, and web management, with a keen ability to take direction, work as part of a team, as well as work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design visually appealing marketing materials for print and web using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; preference of Adobe over Canva).
- Create and manage content for WordPress websites.
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns using MailChimp.
- Manage BC Wood's social media accounts
- Create a content calendar and schedule social media posts using buffer
- Assist with basic web development tasks using HTML and CSS.
- Manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Assist in organizing events and trade shows
- Use Microsoft Office Suite for reports, presentations, and project coordination
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – Preferred experience in InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Required)
- Experience with WordPress and Elementor for website management
- Understanding of copywriting, email marketing, and social media strategies
- Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS) is a plus.
- Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new tools and platforms.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and work independently or collaboratively
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Work Environment
- Company policy is 5 days in office; however, we are currently on a hybrid schedule which is subject to change based on team collaboration requirements.
