Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire students in developing their artistic skills and appreciation for the arts. The ideal candidate will create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive learning environment, and encourage students' individual artistic expression. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to students' personal growth and artistic development in a supportive educational setting.

Duties

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive art lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
  • Prepare instructional materials, including supplies, visual aids, and project guidelines.
  • Assess student progress through critiques, portfolios, and written feedback.
  • Organize and supervise art exhibitions or student showcases to celebrate achievements.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to creative exploration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and school events.
  • Provide constructive feedback to motivate students and enhance their artistic techniques.
  • Stay current with emerging art trends, teaching methods, and curriculum standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience teaching art or related creative disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of various art techniques, mediums, and art history.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and inspire students.
  • Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles and age groups.
  • Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for fostering artistic growth.
  • Organizational skills to manage classroom materials and student portfolios efficiently.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with digital art tools or experience in curating student exhibitions. This position is ideal for individuals dedicated to nurturing creativity in young minds while maintaining a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 10 per week
