THE ROLE

In this role as Promoter at Live Nation Canada, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of comedy shows.  As part of the team, you will manage the internal processes related to these events with the support of our promoters, marketing and production teams.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Negotiating and booking local, regional and international acts across Canada

  • Targeting developing artists of all genres to help them grow within their career

  • Working closely with our comedy touring booking team

  • Creating and executing budgets

  • Interacting and working with local ticketing, marketing and production contacts about your events

  • Managing venue and industry relationships

  • Attending shows in the evenings and weekends

  • Research and knowledge of local comedy acts

  • Coordinating with production managers to ensure successful show on site

  • Tracking projected tickets sold & revenue versus actual finances 

  • Representing Live Nation at Industry/Office events as required

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • 2-4 years' experience in the booking, concert and/or event industry

  • Strong knowledge and passion for comedy acts and events

  • Understanding of social media and current trends

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Impeccable organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

The expected compensation for this position in Ontario is: $70,000-80,000

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
