Material Sub Assembler

DUTIES:

•Performs routine and repetitive operations of an assembly nature

•Prepare kitted parts for other facilities

•Duties may be any one or any combination of the following:
o Taping of duct sticks for winding areas
o Replenish workbench supplies such as nomex pads, channels, tape, sleeving, weld rod, etc.
o Thermowells (regular, mylar, wrapped and Kanban)
o Prepare kits – P1, 2, 3, 4, 5
o Prepare sleeving for primary and secondary lugs for units requiring them

• Maintains Scrap Procedure
o Collects, sorts, weighs, records, determines reason for scrap, and locks in storage bin.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have previous experience welding

• Must have good knowledge of terms, definitions, methods and techniques used in the manufacturing of transformers

• Must have some knowledge of the mechanical and electrical properties of copper, steel and insulations used in the manufacturing of transformers
