Draftsperson

Un dessinateur/concepteur utilise un éventail de compétences et de processus créatifs en conception, artisanat et ingénierie pour concevoir et façonner des produits destinés à diverses applications.

Souhaitant concilier conception technique innovante, exigences fonctionnelles et esthétique, les produits sont généralement destinés à la fabrication en série ou en petites quantités, et relèvent généralement des secteurs suivants :

· Industrie

· Commerce

· Vente au détail

Le travail consiste à concevoir, dessiner, tester et produire des prototypes de produits inédits, ou à améliorer des produits existants.

Ce poste exige une bonne connaissance et compréhension des matériaux et des procédés de production.

Responsabilités et fonctions

Fonctions de base et responsabilités :

Une journée type d'un dessinateur/concepteur technicien peut être chargée et variée et peut inclure une ou plusieurs des tâches suivantes :

· Rencontrer les clients/chefs de projet pour établir le cahier des charges, y compris les critères de conception, de performance et de production.

· Réfléchir en équipe (planificateur de processus lors du lancement) pour développer les concepts de conception.

· Esquisser les idées de conception initiales. Test du concept par CAO

· Recherche de matériaux et de procédés

· Réalisation d'échantillons avec l'atelier

· Identification de l'adéquation et de la disponibilité des matériaux.

· Production de plans détaillés et d'approbation ; plans et spécifications finaux (CAO) pour l'élaboration du cahier des charges, y compris les nomenclatures et les coûts.

· Calcul de la consommation de matériaux.

· Liste des matériaux

· Liste du matériel

· Déroulement des étapes pour chaque plan

· Déplacements occasionnels chez les clients pour évaluer la faisabilité de la production.

Qualifications et compétences

· Au moins 2 à 4 ans d'expérience en production et connaissance des techniques de fabrication des métaux (découpe, usinage, soudage, etc.).

· Excellente connaissance d'AutoCAD indispensable, et connaissances de base en assemblage solide.

· Excellentes compétences en communication, souci du détail et capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches simultanément dans un environnement dynamique. Le/La candidat(e) idéal(e) sera autonome, capable de motiver et de travailler efficacement en équipe et avec les clients.

· Capacité à gérer son temps.

· Excellentes compétences organisationnelles et relationnelles. · Maîtriser le dessin à main levée

· Être capable de visualiser des objets en trois dimensions (3D)

· Posséder des compétences mathématiques pour effectuer des calculs techniques et financiers

· Avoir le sens du détail et de la conception

· Avoir une approche logique et pratique

· Être capable de résoudre des problèmes

· Avoir de bonnes compétences en communication (anglais et français)

A drafter/ designer employ's a range of creative design, craft and engineering skills and processes to design and shape products for a variety of applications.

The work involves designing, drafting, testing and producing prototypes of brand-new products, or making improvements to existing products.

The role demands a good knowledge and understanding of materials and production processes.

Responsibilities and Duties

Primary duties and responsibilities / Fonctions de base et responsabilités:

A typical day for a drafter/ designer technician may be busy and varied and may involve one or more of the following:

· Meet with clients/ project managers to establish the design brief including the concept, performance and production criteria.

· brainstorming as part of a team ( Process planner during kick off) to develop design concepts

· sketching initial design ideas; testing the design concept by CAD

· researching materials, processes

· making samples with shop

· identifying the suitability and availability of materials.

· Producing detailed, Approval drawings; final drawings and specifications (CAD) to produce design specifications, including parts lists and costing.

· Calculating material consumption.

· Routing steps for each drawing

· occasionally travelling to clients' production facilities and evaluating the feasibility of production.

Qualifications and Skills

· At least 2-4 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment and knowledge of metal Fabrication techniques. Cutting machining, welding etc.

· Strong knowledge Of AutoCAD is essential, and a basic knowledge of solid work is a +

· Must possess good communication skills, pay strict attention to detail, and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The right individual will be a self-starter and will be able to motivate and work well in a team environment and with clients
