Overview:

Rockdoc is seeking qualified practical and registered nurses licensed in Manitoba to join it's Travel Medicine Team, providing virtual consultations to clients to help ensure their health and safety while traveling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide travel medicine expertise and recommendations to clients via telehealth based on their destination, planned activities, personal medical history, and other factors.
  • Review client intake forms in a timely manner and perform research as necessary to create customized travel health recommendations
  • Provide a high level of service to clients including post-consultation communications and coordination.
  • Coordinate with pharmacies as required to facilitate client care post-consultation.
  • In the discharge of all duties take steps to ensure appropriate client privacy in keeping with PIPEDA and other regulations

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Currently licensed and in good standing with respective College
  • Previous travel medicine experience an asset
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, and families, and other healthcare team members.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work collaboratively within diverse teams.
  • Ability to work with online technology and various platforms.
  • A commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professionalism at all times.
