Reporting to the surface service supervisor, the surface service pumping laborer will ensure that the pumps are operating properly and perform regular inspections.  Based at the Windfall and Barry site in the Nord-du-Québec region, the worker will be required to work a schedule of 15 days on followed by 13 days off. Transportation, accommodation, and meals are provided. 

Duties and responsibilities 

•Comply with occupational health and safety and environmental policies and rules at all times;

•Ensure the proper functioning of pumps and perform regular inspections;

•Quickly diagnose and resolve technical failures;

•Perform preventive maintenance on pumps to ensure equipment efficiency;

•Optimize the performance of pumping equipment;

•Keep accurate records of operations and interventions;

•Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations;

•Ensure the safety of common areas on site (such as lighting);

•Handle various objects weighing up to 22 kilograms;

•Report any situations that could affect work to your supervisor. Share any suggestions for improvement and innovative ideas to enhance the supply process;

•Assist surface supervisors in their daily tasks;

•Perform any other tasks related to the position of surface service pumping laborer that are relevant to the success of the project.

Qualifications

•Hold a technical diploma in mechanics or a similar field.

•Have previous experience in pumping system management.

•Have a good knowledge of industrial safety standards.

•Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Technical skills

•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings;

•Problem-solving and diagnostic skills;

•Proficiency with computerized tracking tools.
