Job DetailsThe Senior Project Manager within the Integration Management Office (IMO) drives the disciplined execution of merger, acquisition, and divestiture integrations across multiple functions and geographies. This role ensures disciplined planning, issue resolution, and milestone delivery while maintaining alignment with deal objectives and the broader IMO framework. Working under the direction of the Head of IMO, the Senior Project Manager acts as the central coordination point between functional leads, acquired company management, and executive stakeholders—translating strategic objectives into actionable execution plans and measurable results.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of integration plans across assigned functions or business units.
- Coordinate Day 1 readiness, 100-day priorities, and long-term integration milestones
- Manage interdependencies, risks, and sequencing between functional workstreams.
- Ensure alignment with deal objectives, synergy targets, and IMO standards.
- Maintain detailed program plans, dashboards, and progress reporting for assigned integrations.
- Track and escalate risks, issues, and decisions; ensure mitigation actions are implemented.
- Partner with the IMO Analyst to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity.
- Support synergy realization tracking and validation in partnership with Finance.
- Drive disciplined execution using IMO methodologies, templates, and governance standards.
- Serve as the central coordination point across HR, Finance, IT, Operations, Legal, and Commercial workstreams.
- Provide clear and concise status updates to the Head of IMO and, when appropriate, to Steering Committees.
- Support relationship management with acquired company leadership and cross-functional executives.
- Partner with the Change and Communications Lead to ensure employees, leaders, and stakeholders remain informed and engaged.
- Support adoption and engagement initiatives across workstreams to ensure smooth transitions.
- Mentor and support junior project managers and analysts within the IMO.
- Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and disciplined execution across all cross-functional teams involved in integration efforts.
- Contribute to continuous evolution of integration methodologies and ensure feedback loops are embedded across each deal cycle.
- 10-15 years of experience in project management, integration, or transformation, ideally in M&A environments.
- Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects with measurable business impact.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills across levels and functions.
- Proficiency in project management software, dashboards, and executive reporting tools.
- PMP or equivalent certification required; exposure to M&A integration methodology a strong asset.
