If so, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compounding Specialist Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing both non-sterile and sterile compounded medications according to precise formulation guidelines, maintaining safe and compliant workspaces, and ensuring product quality and consistency.

Who we are: Helios Laboratories is a state of the art sterile and non-sterile compounding facility located in Markham, ON. We prepare compounded medications for patients, pharmacies, prescribers, and clinics.

Job Description:

  • Delivers exceptional care and value to each of our clients
  • Compounding Sterile and Non-Sterile medications, as needed in both departments
  • Flexible and agile to respond to competing priorities, scheduling and busy time
  • Works to be a high functioning and contributing team member ready to step in where needed
  • Stock medications and related supplies; rotate and monitor stock
  • Maintains a clean and tidy workspace
  • Oversees the preparation and dispensing of both sterile and non-sterile compounded prescription medications to patients, pharmacies or medical practitioners
  • Promotes and works to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Looks for opportunities to maximize patient care and revenue opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 years of Pharmacy Assistant experience in Sterile or Non-sterile compounding is an asset
  • Experience in sterile compounding is a valuable asset
  • The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with professionalism and tact
  • Ability to handle fast-paced situations, adapt to changes in a professional manner
  • Ability to respect and preserve patient/client confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate with other healthcare professionals in a professional, businesslike manner
  • Proficient written and oral communication

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
